Sample Itinerary:
Day 1 - Arrivals, Entertaining Dinner Show, & Campfire
  • Arrive at your Tulsa, Oklahoma, hotel and check-in.
  • Enjoy dinner included and entertainment this evening. Experience a Bartlesville Indian Women’s Club Style Show. In this style show 6-10 women from different tribes wear their tribe's clothing and explain why they wore certain items.
  • After dinner, move outside for dessert around the campfire. Build your own s’mores & enjoy a drink or coffee. An Astronomer will help us understand the stars while night gazing through a telescope. (Meals: D)
 
Day 2 - Route 66, OKPOP, & Sock Hop Dinner
  • Enjoy breakfast included at the hotel this morning prior to your City Tour.
  • First stop is John Hope Franklin Reconciliation Park. It memorializes the Tulsa Race Riot/Massacre, called the worst civic disturbance in American history.
  • Explore Vernon African Methodist Episcopal Church, the only black-owned structure on Historic Greenwood Ave from the Black Wall Street era and one of the only edifices remaining from one of the worst race massacres in American history. While downtown, take a group photo by the Black Wall Street Mural.
  • Visit the Greenwood Rising. A state-of-the-art history center located at the heart of Tulsa’s Greenwood District honoring the legacy of Black Wall Street before and after the Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921.
  • Enjoy lunch included at a local market. Eat, sip, & shop at Oklahoma’s first food hall. They are focused on good food, unique retail, and offering Tulsa a vibrant space for their community to gather. Try local food & shop for unique treasures - plus, you might even find a cooking class going on in the demonstration kitchen or a beer tasting!
  • Depart on a Guided Route 66 Tour. First, is a photo-op and a chance to shop at Buck Atom's Cosmic Curios where visitors from all over celebrate the magic of the Mother Road with apparel, toys, souvenirs, home accessories, art, jewelry, and more.
  • Stop at the Gathering Place, a world class 66.5-acre riverfront park designed for all to enjoy through programming, interactive play elements, and beautiful landscapes.
  • Visit The Route 66 Historic Village. Located along historic Southwest Boulevard in Tulsa, the Route 66 Historical Village is an open-air museum with fully restored remnants from the city's early days.
  • Drive by Route 66 Rising Sun Sculpture. Over 30 feet high and 70 feet long, "Route 66 Rising" was dedicated on July 2, 2019. It's a giant, gray Route 66 shield sign with "Tulsa" at the top, half-submerged in the ground, surrounded by swirls of tan and teal.
  • Stop by the East Meets West: Symbolic Route 66 Midpoint. While these interesting and beautiful sculptures do not represent the literal halfway mark along the Mother Road, it is an artistic representation of the use of automobiles and highways spreading across the country in the late 1920s and 30s.
  • See Route 66 light up before your eyes at the Cyrus Avery Plaza Southwest in Tulsa. Comprised of three vibrant neon signs, this park is a tribute to the city's unique Route 66 history.
  • Drive by The Whittier Square Clock Tower. The Whittier Square Clock Tower still stands today, preserving the memory of Tulsa's first shopping center in the suburbs. At its peak in 1965, the Whittier Square shopping district contained more than 100 stores.
  • Drive by Cain’s Ballroom. Built in 1924 by Tulsa entrepreneur Tate Brady, The Cain’s Ballroom has gone from a garage, a dime-a-dance joint, and a dancing academy, until it became what is known by artists and patrons alike as one of the top performance venues in the world today.
  • See The Meadow Gold Sign. A giant neon sign advertising milk - built in 1934 - is a Route 66 landmark. Preserved after the original building was demolished in 2004, the sign was moved to a dedicated Rt.66 pavilion and turned back on in 2009.
  • Visit The Oklahoma Museum of Popular Culture (OKPOP). Nestled in the Tulsa Arts District - featuring stories from movies, radio, television, illustration, literature, theater, wild west shows, and Route 66 - all connected to a sense of time and place through the language of music.
  • Return to the hotel, rest, then depart for your Sock Hop Dinner & Entertainment. (Meals: B, L, D)
   
Day 3 - Art Deco Tour of Tulsa, Bob Dylan, & Woody Guthrie
  • Enjoy breakfast included at your hotel this morning prior to meeting your GUIDE.
  • Enjoy a tour of the Woody Guthrie Museum which preserves his legacy and presents the social, political, and cultural values found in his vast body of work through curated exhibits, programs, and outreach.
  • Tour the Bob Dylan Center. A place to study and appreciate the life and work of Bob Dylan, The Bob Dylan Center® is committed to exploring the myriad forms of creativity enriching the world around us.
  • Arrive for an included luncheon at the Philbrook Museum of Art, housing a global collection of fine & decorative art in an ornate Italian Renaissance-style mansion & gardens. Enjoy a docent-led tour of the Philbrook followed by free time to explore the museum and gardens on your own.
  • Depart with your GUIDE and enjoy an Art & Architecture Tour of Tulsa.
  • Visit the Boston Avenue Methodist Church along with a driving/walking Art Deco Tour experience!
  • Enjoy dinner included at the Art Deco Lounge. (Meals: B, L, D)
 
Day 4 - Woolaroc, Pioneer Woman Mercantile, and Bands + Botanic Gardens
  • Enjoy breakfast included at your hotel this morning prior to a visit to the Woolaroc Museum and Wildlife Preservation. Hidden away in the rugged Osage Hills of Northeastern Oklahoma, Woolaroc is home to many species of native and exotic wildlife, such as bison, elk, and longhorn cattle.
  • Enjoy lunch included at the Pioneer Woman Mercantile. A destination restaurant, bakery, and store in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. "The Merc" has gorgeous goods, comfort foods, fresh-made pastries, delicious coffee, and plenty of fun to dish out.
  • Later, arrive at the Old West Buffalo Company and learn the epic tale of the American buffalo in the comfort of their rustic, elegant event space. You’ll join other guests on a hay wagon as you go in search of buffalo.
  • Tour the Tulsa Botanic Gardens. Enjoy the Bands & Blooms Garden event followed by dinner included. (Meals: B, L, D)
 
Day 5 - Leon Russell’s The Church Studio, Will Rogers, & Depart
  • Enjoy breakfast included prior to checking out and visiting Leon Russell’s The Church Studio. Under Leon Russell's leadership, the stone structure served as a creative workshop for songwriters, musicians, engineers, and singers to collaborate, learn, and inspire.
  • Depart for Will Roger’s Birthplace Ranch, a historic site near Oologah, Oklahoma. Enjoy lunch included on the ranch this afternoon.
  • Visit the Will Rogers Memorial Museum housing the world’s largest collection of Will Rogers memorabilia and his entire collection of writings.
  • Stop for photo at The Blue Whale, one of the most recognizable attractions on old Route 66, prior to departing for home. (Meals: B, L)
