Tour 1 of 3 ~ Lancaster with Pennsylvania's Americana Region ~

Day One:
  • Arrive in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and check-in to the Heritage Hotel Lancaster.
  • Depart on foot to the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre located next door.  Enjoy a buffet dinner and a Broadway-style show!  Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre is now in its 36th year, consistently providing top quality Broadway-style productions, award-winning food, and exceptional service to over 150,000 guests annually. The theatre seats 328 and is located in the heart of the Amish Country in southeastern Pennsylvania. It features a simple yet sophisticated charm you won’t find in many theatres.
  • Depart on foot and return to the hotel for the remainder of the evening.
 
Day Two:
  • Enjoy an included breakfast at the hotel this morning.
  • Arrive at Kitchen Kettle Village to meet your Step-On Guide and embark on a Driving Tour through Amish Farmland on your coach.
  • Enjoy free time to explore, shop, and have lunch on your own, at the Kitchen Kettle Village.  The Village showcases all that Lancaster County has to offer — homemade baked goods, jams and relishes, good food with unexpected touches, and charming, one-of-a-kind overnight lodging in a picturesque countryside. They're also famous for their unique shopping experience, featuring 40 distinct merchants offering everything from locally-made art, pottery, and PA Dutch quilts to name-brand favorites like Brighton, PANDORA Jewelry, UGG, and Minnetonka moccasins.
  • Depart for Pennsylvania’s Americana Region.
  • Arrive in Boyertown for a 2-hour Train and Treasure Tour.
  • Return to Lancaster for an Amish Dinner with a special "Chalk Talk" presentation.
  • Return to your hotel for the evening.
 
Day Three:
  • Enjoy an included breakfast at the hotel this morning.
  • Explore the National Watch & Clock Museum, home to North America's largest horological collection dedicated to time and timekeeping - more than 13,000 pieces from around the world. Operated by the National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors.
  • Arrive at Turkey Hill Experience for Ice Cream!  The Turkey Hill Experience is housed in a 17,000-sq.-ft. center dedicated to exploring ice cream & iced tea making via interactive activities.
  • Visit Tanger Outlets for shopping and lunch on your own.
  • After an afternoon of shopping, enjoy a delicious included dinner at Hershey Farm Restaurant. Experience delicious Pennsylvania Dutch favorites alongside modern flavors at Hershey Farm Restaurant‘s Grand Smorgasbord. You’ll also find a variety of homemade soups, gourmet breads, freshly carved meats, scrumptious side dishes, bakery fresh desserts, and more!
  • This evening, an exciting experience awaits at Sight & Sound Theatres for an amazing performance.  Sight & Sound Theatres brings Bible stories to life on a panoramic stage, with massive sets, special effects, and live animals
  • Rest back at the hotel tonight.

Tour 2 of 3 ~ Pennsylvania's Americana Region with Lancaster

3 Nights / 4 Days

Day One:
  • Arrive in Reading, Pennsylvania, and check-in to the DoubleTree Hotel Reading.
  • Relax with a Welcome Reception with fresh warm cookies and a presentation given by the hotel on the hotel’s history and servant leadership / community advocacy.
  • Enjoy a free evening to explore and have dinner on own at Cheers Restaurant, located within the hotel.
  • Retire to your room at your leisure.
 
Day Two:
  • Enjoy an included breakfast at the hotel this morning.
  • Enjoy a self-guided tour of the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles, whose mission is to preserve and educate about the local road transportation history. Almost all of the vehicles, from cars and trucks to wagons and carriages, were built in Pennsylvania. They also count automotive literature and memorabilia amongst their collection.
  • All aboard!  Climb aboard the train for a Train and Treasure Tour.
    • Enjoy a boxed lunch or snack bag on the train.
  • Explore the Daniel Boone Homestead on a Guided Tour.  The Daniel Boone Homestead shares stories of the legendary pioneer's youth along with the lives of the Homestead's later residents, the Maugridge and DeTurk families, as a microcosm of 18th-century life in the Oley Valley through exhibits, programs, and tours.
  • Return to the hotel to rest and freshen up for the evening.
  • A delightful dinner is included this evening at Stokesay Castle & The Knight's Pub with a special character guest visitor! Come explore Stokesay Castle & The Knight’s Pub, and experience the 13th century inspired English Castle. The Knight's Pub boasts beautiful views of all four seasons thru folding glass doors bringing the outside in. With delicious food and refreshing cocktails, The Pub is an atmosphere like no other.

  • This afternoon, enjoy a show at an area theatre.

  • Visit GoggleWorks Center for the Arts.  Located in downtown Reading, PA, GoggleWorks operates in a former goggle factory and is composed of 145,000 square feet of creative space. The 501c3 nonprofit offers year-round arts education, including workshops, classes, and visiting artists; community outreach programs; a summer residency; youth programs and camps; 35 on-site studio artists; the Albert and Eunice Boscov theater; three galleries for exhibitions; the Berks Launchbox maker space; and nine communal studios-hot glass, wood, printmaking, warm glass, metals, ceramics, photography, virtual reality, and urban gardens.

  • Tour the Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Museum. Explore the lives, careers, and legacies of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz in Lucy's hometown of Jamestown, NY. Immerse yourself in the ultimate fan experience with original costumes, props, awards, and exact re-creations of the I Love Lucy sets. Home to the annual Lucille Ball Comedy Festival which takes place every August.
  • Enjoy lunch at the Tropicana Room as you watch episodes of “I Love Lucy!” Enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of this recreation of Ricky Ricardo’s famous Manhattan night club.  The facility is not open to the public and will provide an enchanting, private atmosphere for your group.
  • Embark on a Lucy Town Tour and be delighted while touring the hometown of the original Queen of Comedy!
  • Experience the National Comedy Center.  Based on Lucy’s vision for her hometown, the award-winning National Comedy Center is dedicated to presenting the vital story of comedy and preserving its heritage for future generations. Opened in August of 2018, the museum offers an unprecedented visitor experience using state-of-the-art technology, interactivity, and personalization to create the first true 21st Century museum environment.
  • Return to the hotel to refresh before dinner.

Over the course of nine weeks, more than 100,000 visitors will stay at Chautauqua and participate in programs, classes, and community events for all ages—all within the beautiful setting of a historic lakeside village.
