Vík í Mýrdal

Vík is a convenient base for the beautiful basalt beach Reynisfjara just to the west and its puffin cliffs. There’s also the rocky plateau Dyrhólaey and the volcanoes running from Skógar to Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon and beyond. Along the coast, white-capped waves wash up on black sands and the cliffs glow green from all that rain. Put simply, it’s pretty special.
