Sample Itinerary ~

Day 1 - Arrive in Tulsa
  • Visit the Philbrook Museum of Art, an ornate Italian Renaissance-style mansion and home to a global collection of fine and decorative art.
    • While visiting, an incredible Luncheon is included featuring magnificent views of the gardens.  A docent-led tour will follow lunch with free time afterwards to explore and discover the museum at your leisure.
  • Welcome Dinner & Party Under the Stars. This evening, experience the Bartlesville Indian Women’s Club Style Show.  In this style show, 6-10 women from different tribes wear their tribe’s clothing, explain why they wore certain items, share stories, jokes, dancing, and afterwards, guests can interact with the performers while enjoying an outside campfire with s’mores, a hot beverage, night-gazing through a telescope, and a Live Cowboy Guitarist playing classic Prairie Songs!
  • Retire to your hotel for the evening. (Meals: L, D)
Day 2 - The Mother Road ~ Route 66
  • Breakfast at the hotel this morning.
  • Embark on a Guided Tour to some quirky and classic Route 66 photo-op locales such as:
    • the Rising Sun Sculpture,
    • the East Meets West Symbolic “Midpoint”,
    • Whittier Square Clock Tower,
    • the Meadow Gold Sign.
  • Continue your Guided Tour with stops at:
    • the Route 66 Historic Village,
    • Cain’s Ballroom,
    • Cyrus Avery Plaza,
    • and Mother Road Market for lunch on own.
  • Tour the Will Rogers Memorial Museum, a hillside museum honoring the movie star with video, audio, and art displays, plus, a library, garden, and theater.
  • Stop by the Nut House on Route 66 offering unique gifts and souvenirs you won't find anywhere else.
  • Make a final photo stop at The Blue Whale, easily one of the most recognizable attractions on old Route 66.
  • Tonight’s Party is a Sock Hop Dinner with Live Entertainment!
  • Return to your hotel for the evening. (Meals: B, D)
Day 3 - Woolaroc Museum and Wildlife Preserve
  • Breakfast at the hotel this morning prior to checking out.
  • Visit the Woody Guthrie Center, a museum dedicated to the life and legacy of American folk musician and singer-songwriter Woody Guthrie. The Center also contains the archives of folk singer, songwriter, and fellow social activist Phil Ochs.
    • Boxed lunch included.
  • Explore the Woolaroc Museum & Wildlife Preserve, a sprawling, 3,700-acre wildlife preserve with a rustic lodge and museum dedicated to Southwest art and relics.
  • Check-in to your local area hotel and enjoy a free evening for dinner on own and exploring at your leisure. (Meals: B, L)
 
Day 4 - Price Tower, Frank Phillips Home, and Ponca City
  • Breakfast at the hotel this morning prior to checking out.
  • Tour Price Tower, a truly unique building designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, with living and business areas, eateries and dining options, an art gallery, a permanent historical collection of Frank Lloyd Wright located on the 2nd floor, and more.
  • Visit the Frank Phillips Home and step back in time to the first half of the 20th century where you’ll experience the life of one of America’s most fascinating oil men.
  • Lunch is included today at The Pioneer Woman Mercantile, with additional free time for shopping in the renovated, hundred-year-old Osage mercantile building on Main Street.
  • Explore the Osage Tribal Museum, a large stone chapel showcasing the history and customs of the Osage  Indians via exhibits and artifacts.
  • Continue on to Ponca City where you’ll check-in to your local area hotel, rest, freshen up, and then depart for an included dinner at one of the most famous steakhouses in the area!  (Meals: B, L, D)
Day 5 - Oil Barons and the Pioneer Woman
  • This morning, enjoy breakfast at the hotel prior to checking out.
  • Visit Standing Bear Park and National America Foundation.
  • Tour the Pioneer Woman Museum, preserving the legacy of women of all races, creeds, and nationalities, who contributed to the development of Oklahoma.
  • Stop for a special Luncheon and Tour at E.W. Marland Mansion and the Marland Grand Home.  The E.W. Marland story is fascinating and his home is an architectural wonder. It was designed and constructed as a showplace for pieces of fine art and, in the process, became a masterpiece in its own right. As you tour through this site, you'll learn about the Marland family, the industry that made it all possible, and the "oil boom-town" rising from it all.
  • Depart for Oklahoma City where a dinner feast awaits in Historic Bricktown.
  • Check-in to your local area hotel for the evening. (Meals: B, L, D)
 
Day 6 - OKC Adventure and a Country Western Shindig!
  • Breakfast at the hotel this morning.
  • Depart for a way more than O.K. day in O.K.C.! The adventure begins sipping Morning Mimosas on a Narrated Canal Ride Tour of Historic Bricktown in the heart of the entertainment district.
  • Visit the Land Run Monument, one of the world’s largest bronze sculptures featuring 45 heroic figures of land run participants, frozen in motion, as they race to claim new homesteads.
  • Explore the American Banjo Museum and enjoy a Live demonstration while visiting.
  • Tour the new First Americans Museum.  In this one location, visitors will experience the collective histories of 39 distinctive First American Nations and learn about the cultural diversity, history, and contributions of the First Americans.
    • Enjoy lunch on own at the museum prior to a docent-led tour and free time to explore at your leisure.
  • This evening’s Party is a special event at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum where you’ll enjoy a tour followed by a good, old-fashioned Country Western Shindig & Dinner - inside the museum!
  • Return to the hotel for the night. (Meals: B, D)
Day 7 - Oklahoma History and a Farewell Dinner
  • Breakfast at the hotel this morning.
  • Visit the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum where you’ll experience their Survivor Tour, wander the Outdoor Symbolic Memorial commemorating victims of the 1995 bombing.
  • Stroll the streets of historic Bricktown and enjoy free time for lunch on own.
  • Tour the Oklahoma History Center, an 18-acre, 215,000 square-foot learning center exploring Oklahoma’s unique history of Native culture, pioneers, aviation, commerce, and more.
  • This evening, enjoy an included Farewell Dinner at a historic steakhouse smack dab in the middle of Stockyards City, a lively district and home to restaurants, retail shops, and exciting annual events.  Shops boast all kinds of goodies including Western art, clothing, and Native American jewelry.
  • Return to the hotel for the evening. (Meals: B, D)
 
Day 8 - Harn Homestead and the Governor’s Mansion
  • Breakfast at the hotel this morning prior to checking out.
  • Tour the Governor’s Mansion.  Since 1928, the Oklahoma Governor’s Mansion has served as a backdrop for the state’s rich story, a showcase for the state’s most unique treasures, and a beloved home for the governors and their families.  While it may be called the Oklahoma Governor’s Mansion, this is a place belonging to Oklahomans everywhere. A place where they gather, learn, and celebrate the history still unfolding today.
  • Tip your hat and bid a fond farewell as you depart for home. (Meals: B)
