Sample Itinerary: Day 1 - Detroit
- Arrive in Detroit and check-in to your hotel. Enjoy dinner on your own and free time this evening.
- Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning then depart for The Henry Ford Museum, a large outdoor and indoor history museum on the National Register of Historic Places. At the Rouge Factory see cars being assembled during a tour. A vibrant exploration of genius in all its forms, Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation allows you to experience the strides of America’s greatest minds while fully immersing yourself in their stories. Step inside the bus where Rosa Parks took a stand by taking a seat. Play pilot as you explore flight innovations, starting with the Wright Brothers' achievements, or make yourself at home inside Buckminster Fuller’s circular Dymaxion House.
- Visit Greenfield Village and experience firsthand the sights, sounds, and sensations of America’s fascinating formation. Step foot in the lab where Thomas Edison had his lightbulb moment or the workshop where the Wright Brothers taught us to reach for the sky. Take a ride in a real Model T or a walk through four working farms.
- Enjoy lunch included today at a family-style tavern.
- Spend a little free time in Greenfield Village then board the motor coach and depart for the Ford Rouge Factory Tour. Get an inside look at the making of America’s most iconic truck, the Ford F-150, and immerse yourself in modern manufacturing’s most progressive concepts. This is where big ideas gain momentum.
- Later, arrive at the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House. Experience a guided tour of this historic mansion filled with antiques set in beautiful gardens. Enjoy an exclusive dinner this evening at a gorgeous mansion and Detroit landmark. Depart and return to your hotel for the evening.

- Depart Detroit and arrive in Frankenmuth, Michigan’s Little Bavaria, have lunch on your own, and time to browse in the quaint town. Drive across the Mackinac Bridge that connects the upper and lower peninsulas of Michigan then arrive at Shepler’s St. Ignace Ferry.
- Depart via ferry across to Mackinac Island, a special place where you take a step back in time. Board your Mackinac Island Carriage Tours Taxi then arrive at Grand Hotel and check-in.
- Enjoy a wonderful 5-course dinner at the hotel this evening, the amenities of the resort, and retire to your rooms at your leisure.
- Evening Entertainment: Ballroom Dancing to the Grand Orchestra and more.
- Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel this morning then embark on a special Carriage Tour of the island, enjoying the ambiance of Mackinac where cars are not allowed. Carriage Tour returns to Grand Hotel then have lunch on your own while exploring the island.
- Spend free time on the island, relax on the porch of the hotel with its fabulous views of the Straits of Mackinac, or browse in the unique galleries and shops.

- Depart via ferry back to the mainland and board your motorcoach & depart for the charming lake town of Charlevoix. Arrive at the Charlevoix Visitor’s Bureau and meet your GUIDE. During a narrated driving tour of Charlevoix see the unique mushroom houses that were designed by Earl Young.
- Enjoy lunch on your own in Charlevoix.
- Later, arrive in Grand Rapids and check-in to your hotel.
- Enjoy dinner included then return to your hotel for the evening.

- Visit the Gerald R. Ford Museum - The presidential museum and resting place of the 38th president of the United States.
- Arrive at the renowned Meijer Sculpture Park and Gardens where you will have a guided tram tour.
- The Guided Walking Tour includes the Lena Meijer Tropical Conservatory, Earl & Donnalee Holton Arid Garden, and Victorian Greenhouse. The Narrated Tram Tour is an overview of the Sculpture Park, (featuring over 60 permanent sculptures by world-renowned artists) the American Horse, the Richard & Helen DeVos Japanese Garden, and Michigan’s Farm Garden.
- Depart and visit Amish Acres, a once-in-a-lifetime experience in a charming country kitchen setting.

A 17-foot marble fountain and Austrian chandeliers add a touch of elegance to your dining experience.
