Day 1: April 17, 2026 - Explore Historic Richmond

(for 5-, 6-, and 7-day tours only)

  • Your adventure begins in Richmond, VA, where you’ll enjoy lunch on your own before stepping into the pages of history at St. John’s Church, where Patrick Henry delivered his famous "Give me liberty or give me death!" speech. Next, tour the grand Virginia State Capitol, designed by Thomas Jefferson and home to a world-renowned statue of George Washington. After soaking in Virginia’s rich revolutionary past, we’ll travel to Hampton, VA, for a delicious included dinner at a local favorite before checking into our hotel for a restful evening.
 
 

Day 2: April 18, 2026 - Colonial Williamsburg & Jamestown Settlement

(for all tours)

  • After a hearty breakfast, we’ll step back in time with a guided tour of Colonial Williamsburg, visiting the Capitol and Governor’s Palace, where revolutionary ideals took root. Enjoy lunch at Merchant’s Square, a charming historic district with shops and restaurants before heading to Jamestown Settlement, where you’ll explore full-size replicas of the three ships that carried America’s first permanent English settlers. You’ll walk through a recreated Jamestown Fort and see costumed interpreters bring the 17th century to life. A delightful included dinner rounds out the day before returning to the hotel for the night.
 
 

Day 3: April 19, 2026 - The Virginia International Tattoo!

(for all tours)

  • Start the day with a leisurely breakfast before checking out and departing for our specialty Tattoo Luncheon featuring live preview performances from the Virginia International Tattoo. Then, it's just a short walk to Scope Arena, where you’ll experience Hullabaloo, an outdoor festival showcasing international military bands, drill teams, and dancers. Finally, take your premium reserved seat for the Virginia International Tattoo, a breathtaking show featuring music, pageantry, and military splendor. After the performance, the group will check into an oceanfront hotel in Virginia Beach, where you’ll have the evening at leisure to explore the famous boardwalk and enjoy dinner on your own.
 

 

Day 4: April 20, 2026 - The American Revolution Museum at Yorktown

(for 5-, 6-, and 7-day tours only; the 4-day tour departs this morning)

  • After breakfast, we’ll journey to Yorktown, where you’ll relive the final chapter of the American Revolution at the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown. A guided tour will take you through immersive exhibits and costumed demonstrations at a recreated 18th-century Continental Army encampment and farm. After enjoying a box lunch picnic, watch a thrilling cannon and musket demonstration before returning to the hotel to refresh. The evening is a highlight—our Revolutionary Welcome Reception & Dinner at Grand Affairs, where you’ll mingle with reenactors portraying George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Patrick Henry, followed by live music featuring top American and Patriotic hits to dance with The Rondels!

Day 5: April 21, 2026 - Naval & Maritime Heritage

(for 6- and 7-day tours only – the 5-day tour departs today)

  • Today’s journey takes us into the maritime world at Nauticus & the USS Wisconsin, a hands-on naval museum and battleship experience. Explore the role of the sea in global affairs, step aboard one of the largest battleships ever built, and learn about Naval history at the Hampton Roads Naval Museum. Afterward, enjoy lunch on your own at Waterside Market Place, a vibrant waterfront dining destination. The afternoon includes a visit to the Douglas MacArthur Memorial, honoring one of America’s greatest military leaders, and a stop at the Chrysler Museum of Art, featuring an impressive collection of fine and decorative arts. Return to the hotel for a free evening on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk.

Day 6: April 22, 2026 - Jefferson’s Monticello & Michie Tavern

  • Leaving the coast behind, we’ll head inland to Charlottesville, VA, where we’ll enjoy a colonial-style lunch at historic Michie Tavern, one of Virginia’s oldest homesteads. Next, visit Monticello, the mountaintop home of Thomas Jefferson, where you’ll explore his personal retreat and learn about his architectural innovations. The evening concludes with a delicious included dinner at a local favorite before checking into a Charlottesville hotel for the night.

Day 7: April 23, 2026 - University of Virginia & James Monroe’s Highland

(for the 7-day tour only)

  • Our final morning begins with a guided tour of the University of Virginia, where we’ll visit the iconic Rotunda, Academical Village, and the Memorial to Enslaved Laborers. Next, meet James Monroe himself as we explore Highland, the home of our 5th President, gaining insight into his life and legacy, or choose to visit Montpelier, the lifelong home of James Madison, Father of the Constitution, Architect of the Bill of Rights, and fourth President of the United States. Afterward, enjoy lunch at the lively Charlottesville Downtown Pedestrian Mall, a charming historic district filled with unique shops and restaurants. In the afternoon, we’ll depart for home, wrapping up an unforgettable journey through Virginia’s history, culture, and patriotic traditions.
