Bloomin’ Wine Fest The official kick- off event of the Shenandoah Apple Blossom Festival Week. Attendees will enjoy a traditional wine tasting atmosphere held on the Loudoun Street Walking Mall in historic Old Town Winchester. Held on Friday and Saturday, this event will feature 18 Virginia wineries in two “Wine Gardens”. Also, over 30 artisans and vendors will be setup along the Old Town Mall, along with the local merchants, offering a wide variety of art, jewelry, bags, pottery and much, much more. Live musical entertainment will be ongoing on two stages thru-out the event. Weekend in the Park Celebrate the annual Snowden Bridge Arts and Crafts Show in Jim Barnett Park. On Sunday, enjoy Fun Day in the Park and the NAPA Cruis-In Car Show. Musical and Comic Entertainment will enhance your visit on Sunday. Yesterday’s Cruisers Car Club again promises to have over 200 vintage and classic "muscle cars" from the 40s, 50s and 60s! Firefighters Parade Coordinated by members of the Winchester and Frederick County Firefighters for the 78th year, the Firefighters’ Parade will step off at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, in Old Town Winchester. The first Torchlight and Mummer’s Parade in 1929 stepped off at 8 p.m. - with each of the Winchester Fire Departments participating. Each Firefighter carried a flaming torch. From its humble beginning it is now the largest, and one of the oldest, annual Firefighters’ Parades in the World. Grand Feature Parade Coordinated by the members of the Winchester Host Lions Club for the 69th year, the Grand Feature Parade steps off at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, in Old Town Winchester. The parade route stretches from Old Town Winchester to the Handley School area.
