Day One:
  • After arriving in our Nation’s Capital, meet our GUIDE and visit the Arlington National Cemetery, America’s shrine to the valor and sacrifice soldiers have made. No land in American is more sacred than this square mile.
  • Afterwards, we’ll see the Marine Corps Memorial (Iwo Jima Statue) and check in to the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center prior to visiting the National Harbor where we will participate in an All-American Celebration featuring Military Band “Salute the Sunset” performances along the Potomac River.
Day Two:
  • Enjoy a full breakfast at the hotel prior to departing for a Guided Memorials Tour to include: the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Korean War Memorial, the National World War II Memorial, the Air Force Memorial, and the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial Park.
  • Stop for lunch on own while touring. This afternoon, enjoy the National Memorial Day Choral Festival Concert at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Presented by Music Celebrations International, the American Veterans Center, and the United States Air Force, the performance will feature a 350-voice choir and the U.S. Air Force Orchestra.
  • Depart and enjoy free time and dinner on own at the National Harbor.
Day Three:
  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
  • Depart for your monument & memorial tour.
  • First stop is the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial Park. The memorial honors the 184 victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks at The Pentagon.
  • Stop by the Air Force Memorial.
  • Visit the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial. The long awaited memorial utilizes landscape elements to powerfully convey three fundamental and recurring themes of Dr. King's life: justice, democracy and hope.
  • See the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial. This memorial to FDR combines sculpture, water, and natural landscape to forge a dramatic setting for recounting the events and terms of office of the nation’s 32nd President.
  • Stop by the Jefferson Memorial. The 19-foot statue of the third president stands beneath a rotunda inscribed with passages from the Declaration of Independence and Jefferson’s other famous writings. Looking from the memorial across the Tidal Basin provides a memorable view of the city.
  • Visit the United States Navy Memorial, it includes both a commemorative public plaza and a Naval Heritage Center.
  • Take your seats for The National Memorial Day Parade. This nationally televised parade is the largest of its kind in the United States. It is held annually along Constitution Avenue in our nation’s capital – Washington, DC to share the story of American honor and sacrifice from across the generations. Spectators to the National Mall pay tribute to those who have served, are serving, and most importantly those who have made the ultimate sacrifice while in service to our country.
  • Enjoy lunch provided while watching the Parade.
  • Depart and explore the city on own this evening. Later, return to your hotel.
Day Four:
  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel prior to checking out.
  • Visit the NEW National Museum of the United States Army (located at Fort Belvoir).  The Museum celebrates over 240 years of Army history and honors our nation’s Soldiers – past, present, and future – regular Army, Army Reserves, and the Army National Guard.  It provides the only comprehensive portrayal of Army history and traditions, and offers educational experiences to illustrate the Army’s role in building and defending our nation.
  • Enjoy lunch on own while visiting.
  • Explore the National Museum of the Marine Corps at Quantico.  Experience what it means to be a Marine! Enter a recruiting station. Step aboard the bus taking you to boot camp. Stand astride the famed “yellow footprints” and hear the roar of your first dreaded drill instructor issuing commands! See American history through the eyes of a marine. You will leave with an understanding of the Marine Corps motto: Always Faithful, “Semper Fidelis”.
  • Visit Quantico Cemetery for an official Flag-Laying Ceremony.
  • Depart for home.
