Day One:
  • Begin your day in Savannah, GA, with Old Savannah Tours on a trolley. With a variety of options to choose from, you can enjoy the classic scenery of Savannah or enjoy the Moon River District. Whichever you choose, you’ll receive over 270 years of history in 90 minutes and more to tickle the senses of what to see next!
  • As you’re enjoying your tour, hop off at the historic Pirate’s House to enjoy some southern cuisine for lunch. It was first opened in 1753 as an inn for seafarers, and quickly became a meeting point for pirates and sailors from the Seven Seas.
  • After lunch, head out to Tybee Island to tour the Tybee Lighthouse. Standing as the oldest & tallest in Georgia, you will be able to see all its glory! After climbing 178 steps, you’ll even be able to see some of the container ships headed into Georgia Ports Authority, one of the busiest and largest ports in the country.
  • Experience the thrill of encountering dolphins in their natural habitat while taking in breathtaking views of Tybee's serene coastal waters. Captain Derek’s Dolphin Adventure never fails, and you’ll be sure to capture some amazing photos.
  • After a day of adventure, let’s slow things down and refresh. We’ll check into the brand-new Cambria Hotel in Savannah’s Historic District - the only one in Georgia! The Cambria Hotel Savannah features tastefully appointed rooms with premium bedding and a range of modern amenities for relaxing and unwinding after a busy day.
  • After some downtime, we’ll head over to The Marshall House Hotel for dinner. The Marshall House Hotel has been a part of Savannah's history since 1851. This iconic building on Broughton Street is so much more than just a place to stay. Once occupied by Union troops and used as a Union hospital, the history contained within their walls is fascinating to witness, plus, you’ll enjoy a plated dinner at their restaurant: 45 Bistro.
  • After dinner, let’s get grooving to close out the evening! We’ll head over to the historic Savannah Theater. As one of the United States' oldest continually operating theaters, the structure has been both a live performance venue and a movie theater.
  • Return to your hotel for the evening.
 
Day Two:
  • After breakfast at the Cambria Historic District, depart for Hilton Head Island.
  • Tour Historic Mitchellville Park a living testament to the area's rich heritage, offering a tranquil and picturesque setting inviting visitors to connect with its natural and historical spirit.
  • Next stop is the Coastal Discovery Museum where you can casually soak in the Lowcountry vibes. Dive into nature, history, and all-around good times as you explore exhibits and enjoy the laid-back coastal atmosphere.
    • After visiting the museum and gardens, enjoy a catered lunch in the covered Pavilion
  • Visit the Farmer’s Market for a fresh treat before departing for your hotel.
  • Check-in to the Holiday Inn Express at Coligny Beach. Depart for Shelter Cove where you will have free time to visit the shops and take in the beautiful views.
  • Dinner will be at the rooftop restaurant Poseidon where you will see a sunset over the water, and possibly a fireworks display (seasonal).
  • Return to your hotel for the evening.
 
Day Three:
  • After breakfast at your hotel, depart for Old Town Bluffton where Southern charm meets artistic flair.
  • Visit the Church of the Cross, a timeless gem, with its elegant Gothic architecture and serene surroundings; the Hayward House, a charming landmark where every corner whisper tales of bygone eras; and the Old Oyster Factory a beloved institution in Hilton perched on the waterfront and serving up succulent oysters.
  • Board your coach and travel to Beaufort, South Carolina.
  • Arrive at the Downtown Marina to board the Coastal Expeditions charter that will take you on a “Dolphin and History” tour of the Intracoastal Waterway. You will learn about the flora & fauna, wildlife, unique tides, and history of the Lowcountry. The captain will take you to the Port Royal docks at Fish Camp where you will enjoy a tasty lunch with a waterfront view.
    • Optional: Instead, you may enjoy lunch and tasting of the local brews at the Shellring Ale House.
  • After lunch, your coach will take you to the Beaufort Visitor Center located in the historic Arsenal. Arsenal is a free attraction, and home to the Beaufort History Museum. The Visitor Center also has a wonderful gift shop, and the staff is very helpful in assisting to plan activities during the free time.
  • Your guests will have two hours of free time & select from the optional activities:
    • Remain at the Visitor Center to tour the Beaufort History Museum and take a self-guided walking tour of the Historic Point neighborhood.
    • Continue to Downtown Bay Street to explore the many “one of a kind” local shops and galleries.
    • Embark on a Carriage Tour, Golf Cart Tour, or Sprinter Tours - all departing from the Downtown Marina. These tours all range from 60-90 minutes.
    • Take a walk in the Henry C. Chambers Waterfront Park along the Intracoastal Waterway. Enjoy a Cappuccino or an ice cream cone as they relax on a swing watching boats sail by and the dolphins at play.
  • Check-in to the Best Western Sea Island Inn - on Bay Street - a short walk across the street from the Downtown Marina.
  • Depart for a “Tour and Tasting” at RLB (Rotten Little Bastard Distillery), where artisanal craftsmanship meets a touch of irreverence. This unique distillery promises an adventurous journey into the world of spirits, with small-batch creations that defy convention.
  • Depart for private Farewell Dinner at the Red Rooster / Nautilus restaurant.
  • Return to hotel.

 
Day Four:
  • Breakfast at hotel prior to checking out.
  • Your Step-on guide will meet you at the hotel for a Gullah Tour to Saint Helena Island.
  • First you will visit Fort Fremont which was built as defense for the Spanish American War. Discover the secrets held within the fort's walls and immerse yourself in the unique blend of nature and history that defines Fort Fremont.
  • Visit the Penn Center Campus, where history, education, and heritage converge. Nestled in the Lowcountry of South Carolina, this campus serves as a vital hub for preserving Gullah traditions and fostering learning.
  • Learn about reconstruction in the south at Darrah Hall, a site on the National Park’s Reconstruction Trail.
  • See the Old Brick Church built by enslaved people pre-Civil War.
  • Make a stop at the Chapel of Ease and visit one of only a few remaining “Praise Houses” to see how the enslaved people of the south worshiped.
  • Your next stop is the Gullah Geechee Visitor Center and Gallery in Frogmore where you will enjoy a “Frogmore Stew'' (aka: Lowcountry Boil) for lunch. This delicacy features fresh locally caught shrimp, smoked sausage, potatoes and corn and will be prepared by local Gullah chefs. Gullah Storyteller, Aunt Pearlie Sue will entertain your group while they dine and shop at the Gallery.
  • After lunch, take the time to shop at MacDonald Marketplace or the Lowcountry Store in Frogmore. Both shops feature locally made art and products.
  • Time to depart for your journey back to Savannah Airport in Pooler.
    • Optional: You may want to visit the Mighty 8th Air Force Museum in Pooler or allow some time to shop at the Tanger Outlet Mall.
