Day 1 - 
  • Arrive in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and enjoy lunch on own at the City Kitchen before visiting the Phipps Conservatory and Botanic Gardens where a Guided Conservatory tour will highlight their plant collections, history, and current flower show.
  • Explore Frick Pittsburgh, a cluster of museums & historical buildings around the Frick family’s 19th Century residence, “Clayton”.
  • Check-in to your Pittsburgh hotel before a Welcome Dinner at Pittsburgh’s former equivalent of Grand Central Station and featuring exquisite Victorian and Edwardian architecture & style.
Day 2 - 
  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning.
  • Depart for Molly’s Trolley Depot and step aboard their vintage trolley for the “All About the Burgh, The Culture to Ketchup Tour”.
  • Explore the Senator John Heinz History Center for a docent-led tour of the unique “people museum”.
  • Step back in time at the delightfully unique Duquesne Incline, one of the few remaining inclines in the country and offering amazing views with its original, elegant, wooden cable cars.
  • Only steps away, indulge with a fine-dining dinner experience at a 5-star favorite restaurant.
  • Tonight, discover something new and special at the Allegheny Observatory, one of the major astronomical research institutions in the world.
  • Return to your hotel to rest and relax for the night.
  Day 3 - 
  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning..
  • Meet your “Burgh Bits and Bites” Food Tour Guide and embark on a fancy culinary tour around the world!
  • Visit the Carrie Blast Furnace for an Industrial Tour to learn about the former blast furnace and its part in the Homestead Steel Works.
  • Experience a Narrated Tour at St. Paul Cathedral known for its gorgeous interior.
  • Savor a delicious dinner included this evening at a popular restaurant with award-winning recipes and an eclectic and unique atmosphere.
  • Return to your hotel for the evening.
 
  Day 4 - 
  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning.
  • Depart with your Guide to visit St. Nicholas Church, the first Croatian Church in America, est. in 1894.
  • Enjoy a docent-led tour and explore on your own at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.  The museum features fossils of dinosaurs & sea creatures, plus minerals & an open paleontology lab, in a grand building.
  • Explore the Nationality Rooms at the Cathedral of Learning and visit each of the 31 Nationality and Heritage Rooms to be immersed in the rich, cultural, and ethnic heritage contained therein.
  • Sail away on the Gateway Clipper for a fabulous Sunset Dinner Cruise & Tour, complete with music, dancing, and gorgeous views of the city.
      Day 5 - 
  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning prior to checking out.
  • Delight in a visit to Frank Lloyd Wright’s Kentuck Knob, a classic design of the architect, both dramatic and serene.
  • A wonderful Farewell Lunch is included at a beautiful and historic location.
  • Conclude your adventure with a Guided Tour at Falling Water, Frank Lloyd Wright’s most recognized example of the union of architecture and nature.
  • Depart for home.  But, as with all MARS tours, each day can be customized to make it something truly special for your group!
