Sample Itinerary: Day 1 - Arrive in Copenhagen & City Tour
- Arrive in Copenhagen, Denmark. Transfer by coach to the center and go directly on a City Tour with GUIDE to see the main sights of the Danish Capital.
- Drive down Hans Christian Andersen Boulevard, which runs past the Tivoli Gardens, a world famous amusement park. Cross the picturesque canal and drive past the Christiansborg Palace, the seat of the Danish Parliament.
- Continue to Nyhavn, a street well known for the variety of its nightlife. See the Amalienborg Palace, the Danish Royal Family’s winter residence. The tour continues to one of the most famous sights in Copenhagen and one of the symbols of the city, the Little Mermaid Statue, located in the harbor.
- Proceed past the Rosenborg Castle, built in Dutch Renaissance style by Danish King Christian IV as a summer residence. Dinner at a local restaurant this evening. (Meals: D)
- After breakfast, meet your GUIDE at and go on an excursion to North Zealand and visit some of the most famous castles in Denmark.
- We follow a scenic road through the lush countryside and pass traditional thatched-roof homes and rolling fields, before arriving at the magnificent Renaissance-style Frederiksborg Castle. The setting on a lake offers some great photo opportunities.
- We continue to the town of Elsinore (Helsingør) for a visit to Kronborg Castle better known as Hamlet’s Castle.
- Return to Copenhagen and board your Ferry to Oslo. Dinner at a local restaurant this evening. (Meals: B, D)
- Arrive at the pier in Oslo. Meet your GUIDE, drive to the city center by coach, and start your City Tour.
- Pass the medieval Akershus Fortress, the City Hall from the 1950s, followed by the Royal Palace, the Parliament, and the National Theatre.
- Continue west of the city center and visit the Vigeland Sculpture Park. The park has over 200 stone, bronze and cast iron figural sculptures made by the Norwegian artist Gustav Vigeland.
- Drive to the peninsula of Bygdøy, just outside the city center and visit the Vikingship Museum housing the best ever preserved Viking ship. Dinner at a local restaurant. (Meals: D)
- Leave Oslo and Norway with private coach and travel to Sweden. Cross the Norwegian Border and drive to the Swedish city of Karlstad situated on the north shore of Lake Vänern.
- The city refers to itself as the ‘city of sunshine’, partly due to the number of sunlight hours the city receives each year. Enjoy sightseeing & shopping at Drottningatan. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. (Meals: D)
- Leave Karstad and drive on through the Swedish countryside and continue past the towns of Örebro & Eskilstuna before reaching Stockholm.
- Meet your GUIDE and go on a City Tour. Start with a visit to the Stockholm City Hall, where the Nobel Prize receptions are held every year. The City Hall is one of Sweden's foremost buildings built in the National Romantic style.
- Visit the famous Blue Hall with its walls covered with pieces of gold and colored glass mosaic. Stroll in Gamla Stan, Stockholm’s Old Town with its cobbled alleys, narrow streets, houses, shops, and soaring church spires.
- Visit the Polkagris Factory and its Swedish stick candy. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. (Meals: D)
- Continue the visit of Stockholm by coach with your GUIDE. Travel to the Vasa Museum for a visit. The museum houses the Vasa, a wooden warship that sank in Stockholm Harbor during her ill-fated maiden voyage in 1628.
- After the visit go on a Royal Canal Tour. Leaving the inner city behind, you will pass beautiful and famous buildings and enter the peaceful Djurgaarden Canal. When heading home, a fabulous view of the Stockholm skyline opens up – only to be seen from the water!
- In the afternoon, transfer to the pier. Board Tallinksilja overnight Ferry to Helsinki. Dinner and overnight. (Meals: B, D)
- Enjoy breakfast while on the ship. Arrive at pier in Helsinki.
- Meet your local guide and start on a Tour of Helsinki. Drive past the city’s busy harbor and shipyards and along the coastal road by Embassy Park, passing the colorful open-air market. Continue to the Senate Square with its elegant Lutheran Cathedral and pass the Esplanadi Shopping Street where many designer shops are located.
- Drive down Mannerheim Street, Helsinki’s main street to see the imposing Parliament Building, the National Museum, and Finlandia Hall. Alvar Aalto designed this beautiful concert hall and convention center.
- Continue to the Olympic Stadium which hosted the 1952 Olympic Games and pass the New Opera House, completed in 1993. Finally enjoy the unique Rock Church, the Temppeliaukio, made out of solid rock and capped with a copper dome. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight. (Meals: B, D)
- After breakfast, check out the Market Square.
- Go by Ferry to Suomenlinna Island, a Unesco World Heritage sight. Enjoy a Guided Tour of this charming island. Return to the mainland with ferry.
- Enjoy hi-tea served at a Finnish theme restaurant before transfer to airport for flight back home. (Meals: B, D)
