Day 1 - Arrive to the Low Country! A Southern Porch Welcome & Chef Dinner in an Antebellum Home
  • Arrive to your Low Country home for the next four feasting days!
  • Check-in to your local area hotel before enjoying a Welcome Wine & Cheese Reception on an Antebellum Porch.
  • Step inside for a chef prepared dinner with some of the freshest local seafood available.
Day 2 - Eco-Boat Tour and Wine & Cheese on an Antebellum Porch
  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning.
  • Enjoy a Coastal Expedition Tour from Hunting Island.
  • Lunch on own and shopping along Main Street.
  • Visit a local Oyster Farm to learn about the oyster from beginning to harvesting & how the oyster is so much a part of the low country ecosystem as they are a part of the culture. Next, feast on some fresh oysters harvested from the farm we visited at a local’s favorite with amazing water views. The freshest seafood luncheon will be enjoyed by all!
  • Enjoy a tour of the Kazoo Factory and create your own kazoo! The museum contains historical kazoos from the collections of Boaz Frankel, Barbara Stewart, and Rick Hubbard. You’ll learn all about how the kazoo was invented and how it has come to be America’s most beloved musical instrument.
  • Relax and enjoy a Wine & Cheese Reception on a historic antebellum porch!
  • Dinner is on own to explore the unique, one-of-a-kind restaurants along Beaufort’s Main Street, many of which offer fresh local seafood.
Day 3 - It’s All About the Oysters, Shrimp, & Fried Fish
  • Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning.
  • Depart to catch the spirit of the islands on board our open-air trolleys with panoramic views. Travel the beaches and back roads inaccessible on a full-sized motor coach while we discover what makes this area so unique. Roll back the retractable roof once we pull off of the main roads. Smell the earthy marsh and salty tidal air, soak in the sunlight, and enjoy the fresh air breezes.
  • Lunch is a Low Country shrimp boil, A.K.A. Frogmore Stew, served at your choice of a dockside or inside venue, where we will “Hear the Rest of the Story” from a local storyteller and historical interpreter.
  • Next, visit the Shrimp Docks, where shrimp was harvested for the Low Country boil today! Owned by a local shrimper, see how they catch from the sea with their nets, boats and docks. Get an up-close experience of the Low Country and its shrimping history.
  • This evening, enjoy a Farewell Oyster Roast and Fish Fry!
  • Return to the hotel for the evening.
Day 4 - Shrimp ‘n Grits & A Horse Drawn Carriage
  • Enjoy Shrimp 'n Grits for breakfast at a local favorite restaurant.
  • Take a Horse Drawn Carriage Ride and learn about Beaufort’s history, see Hollywood movie sets, gorgeous gardens, ancient churches, and many Civil War era Antebellum homes.
  • Enjoy free time to shop, explore, and have lunch on own in historic Beaufort.
  • Depart for home.
