The Oscar Hammerstein II Farm, also known as the Highland Farm, is an historic home and farm complex that is located in Doylestown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.
  • In the evening, savor a delectable Welcome Dinner at a beloved local restaurant, a perfect introduction to the region's culinary delights.

Day 2
  • Start your mornings with a hearty breakfast at the hotel this morning.
  • Today, set off on a Guided Tour of the Mercer Museum. This unique institution houses an eclectic collection of artifacts from early American life.
  • After the tour, enjoy some free time to explore the historic downtown of Doylestown, where you can shop and dine at your leisure.
  • In the afternoon, tour the enchanting Fonthill Castle, a marvel of early 20th-century architecture. Built between 1908-1912, Fonthill Castle was the home of archaeologist, anthropologist, ceramist, scholar and antiquarian Henry Chapman Mercer (1856-1930). Mercer built Fonthill Castle as his home and as a showplace for his collection of tiles and prints. The castle serves as an early example of reinforced concrete and features forty-four rooms, over two hundred windows, and eighteen fireplaces. Fonthill Castle’s interior features Mercer’s renowned, hand crafted ceramic tiles designed at the height of the Arts and Crafts movement. Due to its historic nature, Fonthill Castle has limited accessibility with steep stairs and narrow, uneven passages throughout the site.
  • Next, visit the intriguing TileWorks. Moravian Pottery and Tile Works is a working history museum and contemporary pottery in Doylestown. TileWorks is a rare surviving early 20th century American Arts and Crafts tile factory. The site maintains and preserves the original architecture, kilns, and tile molds while continuing to promote American Arts and Crafts ideals through the production of its founder Hennry Mercer's tiles. TileWorks mission is to engage communities locally and abroad by curating Mercer and Mercer-inspired products, experiences, and events suited to the contemporary lifestyle through interdisciplinary arts, research, and experimentation while working to preserve a national historic landmark and Henry Mercer's vision for future generations to treasure.
  • Conclude your day with a delightful dinner at a specialty restaurant.

Day 3
  • Start your morning with a hearty breakfast before setting out for the day.
  • Embark on a Guided Tour of the Pearl S. Buck House, the former home of the Nobel and Pulitzer Prize-winning author. Explore the beautiful gardens and grounds during your free time. The Pearl S. Buck House is the picturesque 68-acre estate and circa 1825 farmhouse of the Nobel and Pulitzer Prize-winning author. A National Historic Landmark, the house provides guided tours, a gift shop, cultural center, gardens and exhibits.

Glen Foerd is the only Delaware River estate located in the Philadelphia area and it's open to the public! Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the estate is set amid 18 acres of rare trees and flowering shrubs and has a diverse collection of fine paintings, prints, sculptures, antiques, tapestries, books, religious artifacts and glassware.
  • Enjoy lunch at a historic location capturing the essence of colonial charm.
  • In the afternoon, tour the Grundy Museum, showcasing Victorian-era life in Bucks County. The Grundys are known colloquially as Bristol’s “first family.” Their successful business dealings, political affairs, and civic and social commitments made them larger than life personalities. By 1885, they led Bristol’s rise as a bustling mill town nestled between the Delaware River and the Delaware Canal. Today, docent-led tours offer engaging family and domestic staff stories. Exquisite interior renovations, refurbished family collections, and new period collections provide the utmost Victorian splendor.
  • Spend the evening shopping and dining at your own pace in Peddler’s Village, a charming shopping village with unique boutiques and eateries. Peddler's Village has 65 unique shops and six unique restaurants on 42 acres of landscaped gardens and brick pathways located between Doylestown and New Hope. Guests can enjoy year-round events and festivities, including specially themed months, weekend celebrations, fall scarecrow displays, comedy nights and so much more.

  • Explore Pennsbury Manor, the recreated colonial estate of William Penn, the founder of Pennsylvania. Pennsbury Manor is a reconstruction of William Penn’s country estate set on 43 picturesque acres along the Delaware River in Morrisville, PA. As the only site in the nation dedicated to preserving the historical significance of William Penn, Pennsbury Manor is here to bring the past into the present by telling the stories of the colonists, servants, enslaved people, and Native Americans who lived on this land.
  • Then, take a Guided Tour of the historic Washington Crossing Park, where General George Washington famously crossed the Delaware River during the American Revolution.
