• Arrive in the Nation’s Capital where you’ll meet up with your full-time licensed DC Tour Guide who will expertly handle D.C. logistics and offer in-depth commentary on all things Washington, DC, as well as fascinating Inaugural history.  Visit Arlington     National Cemetery to see the Kennedy gravesite and other presidents interred within America’s most sacred square mile. Walk through the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts where you’ll witness the larger-than-life bronze bust of John F. Kennedy, view the breathtaking landscape of the Nation’s City from the rooftop terrace, and explore the new JFK  Exhibit.  Enjoy a Welcome Dinner at a local, popular favorite restaurant prior to checking-in to your student-friendly MARS-Partner property hotel. • Enjoy a full, hot breakfast at your hotel this morning.  Depart with your Guide for a day of adventure!  Begin with a visit to Capitol Hill where you’ll climb the famous “Hill” for a tour of the Capitol Visitors Center* and the Library of Congress*.  See the Supreme Court and enjoy an included lunch at the Capitol Visitor Center Café. Embark with your Guide on a District City Tour to include visits to see iconic locations such as the Presidential Memorials, Lincoln, Jefferson, FDR, and Eisenhower, see the National Archives, and the Hall of Presidents at the National Portrait Gallery.  Stop for a delicious dinner included before an evening Illuminated Monuments and Memorials Tour where DC’s famous landscape is highlighted by the soft glow of warm lights against the night sky.  (Meals: B, L, D)

• Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning before traveling to George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate, nestled on a lush hill overlooking the Potomac River, where our country’s first president escaped the rigors of public life.  You’ll tour the      historic mansion containing many of George and Martha’s original belongings and décor.  Enjoy lunch while exploring the estate.  Visit historic Ford’s Theatre and the White House Visitor Center. Stop by the Airforce Memorial on your way to an included dinner at a local favorite restaurant before returning to the hotel for an early evening for lots of rest. (Meals: B, L, D)

• Rise and shine very early and snatch a ‘Grab & Go’ breakfast on your way into the city this morning.  Today, your group will witness the Inauguration in Washington, DC, followed by the annual Inaugural Parade!  This exciting, historic event will be accompanied by various festivities throughout the day.  In between events, you’ll have time to pop in and visit some of the Smithsonian Museums on the National Mall.  Return to the hotel late afternoon to rest and freshen up for this evening’s grand finale: The 60th Inauguration Patriot Celebration & Mock Inaugural Ball.  (Meals: B, D)
