Day One: A Historic Welcome in Gettysburg
- Your journey begins with arrival in iconic Gettysburg, PA, either via motor coach or through the Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) Airport. The tone is set immediately with lunch at the historic Dobbin House Tavern, the oldest standing building in Gettysburg and a beloved dining destination. Originally built in 1776, this beautifully preserved stone house offers groups a warm, inviting atmosphere, and traditional colonial-style cuisine, thoughtfully prepared and served in period-inspired dining rooms that reflect the elegance of early American life.
- Following lunch, the afternoon is devoted to one of America’s most significant destinations- the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center. - A sweet stop at the Lindt Chocolate Factory Outlet follows- perfect for sampling and shopping. Afterwards, unwind with a catered lunch, tour, and tasting at Eichelberger Distillery and historic Dills Tavern, where centuries of craftsmanship and storytelling meet modern spirits.
- Following the tasting, depart and arrive in York, PA and check into the Four Points by Sheraton York. This evening, depart and enjoy farm-to-table dining, touring, and tasting at the picturesque Wyndridge Farm, a beautifully restored historic farmstead in southern York County. Surrounded by rolling countryside, this charming destination blends rustic elegance with modern comfort. End the evening and return to the hotel.
- The day begins with a hot breakfast buffet before heading into downtown York. Guests explore the York County History Center, offering insight into the region’s rich past, followed by a creative stop at Sunrise Soap Company’s Creation Station, where each traveler crafts a personalized bath or body item to take home.
- Lunch is enjoyed independently at the lively Central Market, one of the nation’s oldest continuously operating farmers markets. The afternoon invites guests to stretch their legs on a guided leisurely stroll through the Victorian section of Historic Prospect Hill Cemetery, known for its beautiful monuments and peaceful setting.
- After time to freshen up, the evening highlight awaits: dinner and a show at Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre in Lancaster, PA- a beloved Lancaster County tradition, known for its warm hospitality and Broadway-style productions. This theatre offers the perfect blend of delicious dining and live performance, all under one roof- making it an easy and enjoyable experience. Return to the Four Points by Sheraton for a restful second night.

Step into a true taste of Pennsylvania tradition at this family-owned landmark that has been crafting premium smoked meats since 1902. Here, the group will learn about time-honored smoking techniques during an engaging visit, with the opportunity to sample some of Seltzer’s famous expertly smoked specialties. The on-site store makes it easy to take a little taste of Lancaster County home, featuring packaged meats and gift items that are perfect for souvenirs.
- The afternoon offers a deeply moving encounter with “Living the Experience,” a historical reenactment of the Underground Railroad, followed by a signature lunch at the Bethel AME Church.
- Later, enjoy free time shopping at the charming Kitchen Kettle Village, a relaxed and enjoyable experience filled with local flavor, friendly hospitality, and small-town charm. Spanning more than 1,000 acres, Longwood offers an easy-paced, visit filled with seasonal color, graceful fountains, and inspiring landscapes. Guests may enjoy a guided or self-guided exploration while here. With convenient rest areas, accessible pathways, on-site dining options, and gift shops, Longwood Gardens offers a comfortable, enriching, and visually stunning experience that delights visitors of all ages.
