Sample Itinerary: Day 1 - Washington, DC From Above
- Meet your professional Washington, DC Tour Guide.
- Enjoy lunch included at a rooftop location offering amazing views of The National Mall and The White House.
- Ride an elevator to the 315-foot high Clock Tower that was once a Post Office. Enjoy an interpretive tour of the building and the Tower once atop.
- Tour The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and incredible views of Washington, DC, The Potomac River, and the Georgetown Waterfront. Your Guide will point out significant sites including The Watergate Hotel.
- Visit DC’s Centerpiece, the Washington Monument, and travel to the very top! One of the tallest masonry structures in the world, this majestic obelisk was dedicated in 1885 to the memory of our first President.
- Enjoy dinner included at a second rooftop location and see Washington, DC, bright and illuminated at night!
- Check in to your local hotel.
- Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.
- Tour The Marshall House, also known as Dodona Manor, the home of General George and Katherine Marshall from 1941 through 1959. Ninety percent of the furnishings and memorabilia are original to the Marshall period of residency. Marshall is best known as the author of the Marshall Plan which laid the groundwork for post-World War II European recovery.
- Visit Morven Park and tour the Governor’s Mansion, Windmill Carriage Museum, as well as Turkey Hill Farm.
- Enjoy an included lunch at a wonderful vineyard where you’ll take a short winery tour, indulge in a wine tasting, and sample “A Little Bit of Loudoun” food platter.
- Visit Stone Tower Winery, a family-owned and operated winery, where premium wines and magnificent views are equally matched by their impeccable hospitality.
- Enjoy another wine tasting while visiting and touring the property.
- Indulge again with dinner included and wine pairing at Tuscarora Mill, one of the area’s favorite restaurants and with the awards to prove it!
- Return to your hotel for the evening.
