  • Afterwards, discover Mead and Honey at Silver Hand Meadery. Mead is one of the most historic fermented drinks found on Earth. It has the creativity of craft beer and the elegance of wine, but is in a category all its own. Mead is created by the fermentation of sugars found in honey, with additional herbs, spices, and fruits added to create unique flavors.
  • For dinner included this evening, dine on the very best local seafood. You’ll sample delicacies which would’ve been enjoyed by the colonists including fresh local oysters, crab cakes, and more, at a restaurant voted by locals as “Best in Seafood” and “Best Crabcake” year after year.
  • Return to your hotel to rest and relax.
  Day 3 -

The property is furnished in authentic antiques. Among its famous guests were George Washington, the Marquis de LaFayette, Patrick Henry, Thomas Jefferson, Robert E. Lee, U.S. Grant, James Whitcomb Riley and scores of others. In fact, as the horse change and rest stop for the Petersburg Coach, everyone who traveled South of Richmond, from the Revolution until late in the 19th century, stopped here, if only for rest & refreshment.
