Day One:
- Arrive in Beaufort, SC and enjoy lunch on your own along Beaufort’s Front Porch. Soak up the sun and admire the water views. Stroll the Front Porch to see some of the many unique area restaurants and boutiques for a one of a kind shopping experience.
- Take a Horse Drawn Carriage Ride and learn about Beaufort’s history, see Hollywood movie sets, gorgeous gardens, ancient churches, and many Civil War era Antebellum homes.
- Visit the Kazoo Factory! The museum contains historical kazoos from the collections of Boaz Frankel, Barbara Stewart and Rick Hubbard. You'll learn all about how the kazoo was invented and how it has come to be America's most beloved musical instrument. Depart with your very own, hand-made, keepsake kazoo!
- After checking into an area hotel you will partake in a Welcome Reception on a Victorian Porch overlooking the Beaufort River. You will be greeted with a glass of wine, light hors d’oeuvres, and great company for an delightful southern social.
- Next, travel to Beaufort’s Front Porch where you will watch the sunset while enjoying dinner. After dinner, enjoy a stroll along the River or sit on the Porch swings located along the promenade.
- Breakfast at the hotel this morning.
- Board your Dolphin Experience Cruise which will take you through the very unique inflow of fresh water from the ACE Basin.
- Catch the spirit of the islands on board Open-air Trolleys. Travel the beaches and backroads inaccessible on a full-sized motor coach while we discover what makes this area so unique. Smell the earthy marsh and salty tidal air, soak in the sunlight, and enjoy the fresh air breezes.
- Experience the “The Circle Unbroken” tour and discover the essence of island life and its unique history and heritage. Next, visit the Praise House, Pat Conroy Grave, Slave Cemetery, and Penn Center. See the Plantation House from the impressive Avenue of Oaks.
- Lunch is a Low Country Shrimp Boil, AKA: Frogmore Stew. Here, we will “Hear the Rest of the Story” from a local storyteller and historical interpreter.
- Visit the Shrimp Docks, where shrimp was harvested for the Low Country boil today! Owned by a local shrimper, see how they catch from the sea with their nets and boats. Get an up-close experience of the Low Country and its shrimping history.
- Late afternoon, return to the hotel to rest before enjoying an evening Welcome Reception with appetizers and drinks on an Antebellum porch. A delicious dinner will be served inside the Historic Antebellum house with spectacular water views!
- Breakfast will be served at the hotel before departing for St. Patrick’s Day in Savannah, the second largest St. Patrick’s celebration in the United States next to New York City.
- Celebrate with a VIP Party featuring two Gourmet Buffets! Your parade seats are located near the VIP Party location. After the festivities, return to the hotel.

- Enjoy a 90-minute tour of Historic Savannah.
- Visit a 100-year old Gullah Geechee Community quietly isolated on the banks of Moon River, (Yes, THAT Moon River!) and learn about the unique aspects of their oyster and crab aquaculture practiced for over a century.
- Feast on a BBQ Lunch by the regional cook-off BBQ Master! Lunch is served on the deck surrounded by incredible Marsh views.
- Witness one of the largest rows of Live Oaks and Spanish Moss in the United States at Wormsloe Plantation.
- Colonial interpreters will tell the story of the Estate of Noble Jones, (1702-1775).
- Try your hand at Cricket on the original grass Cricket lawn located here.
- Enjoy sipping wine or a cold beer while viewing the sunset from a porch overlooking Herd River and offering panoramic views of the waters of the marsh and tidal inlet.
- Move inside for window view seating and oyster appetizers before a dinner of locally sourced, fresh seafood.
- Breakfast is served at the hotel prior to checking out. Before departing for home, visit an Oyster Farm!
- Lunch will be on own with free time to shop and explore along Beaufort's Main Street.
