Sample Itinerary: Day 1: Thursday, July 3, 2025 - The Loews Philadelphia Hotel & “Music on Independence” Event
- Arrive in Philadelphia, PA, and check-in to your luxury accommodations at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel, a national historical landmark, designated in 1979, and the first international-style skyscraper built in the United States. Experience the building’s history through its granite and marble details, a different, custom Cartier clock on each floor, and its original, unique, Art Deco style, particularly noticeable on the 33rd floor featuring handsome wooden walls. The property is conveniently located two blocks from Reading Terminal Marketplace which is one many good choices, including the hotel restaurant, to enjoy breakfast on your own during your vacation. Also nearby, are McCormick & Schmick's, Hard Rock Cafe, Iron Hill Brewery, and Maggiano's Italian Restaurant, as well as quick pick-ups like Dunkin' Donuts, Starbucks, Wendy's, and Five Guys. Independence Hall, the 4th of July Concert and Fireworks, Ben Franklin Parkway, and more, are all under a mile from the lobby doors. - Start the celebrations tonight, with the annual “Music on Independence” Event featuring an evening of musical excellence by award-winning performers. (TBD; announcement in May 2025) Enjoy your evening and retire to your hotel at your leisure.
- Enjoy a relaxing breakfast on your own before finding the perfect location to watch the annual Independence Day Parade. The parade route will pass directly outside the Loews although some guests may enjoy watching from the start in Old City at 2nd and Market streets, before marching around City Hall, and finishing on Broad Street near the Convention Center. Have your camera ready for the parade of floats, military units, marching bands, dance performances, Miss America, historical characters, and more pomp and circumstance.
- The rest of the day, patriotic-themed celebrations abound as the festival continues on the Ben Franklin Parkway culminating in the 4th of July Concert headlined by another talented musical guest artist, and concluding with ‘The Fireworks Spectacular’.
- Meet your Guide this morning, after a leisurely breakfast on your own, and embark on Philadelphia’s “Most Historic Mile Tour” featuring Independence Hall, The Liberty Bell, and a Betsy Ross audio tour. Sample famous Philly delicacies while exploring.
- Immerse yourself in the foundation of our Nation’s independence at the National Constitution Center, bringing together people of all ages and perspectives, to learn about, debate, and celebrate the greatest vision of human freedom in history, the United States Constitution.

- Enjoy a relaxing breakfast on your own this morning prior to checking out of the hotel.
- Visit Valley Forge National Historical Park, where General Washington & his Continental Army stayed during the long winter of 1777-78. Today, the park extends over 3,500 acres of rolling hills and is home to 20 miles of trails. Journey through history as you walk past Washington’s stone headquarters, renovated log huts, and countless monuments, including the United States National Memorial Arch.
